Optimizing the Converse PDP Experience for Online Shopping

Converse’s e-commerce work during this project focused on optimizing key elements of the Product Display Page (PDP) to improve the overall shopping experience. I led the design effort, tackling improvements such as how price differences across colorways are displayed, enhancing the Quick Shop experience, and revamping the right rail's information architecture and layout. These updates aimed to create a more intuitive, efficient, and visually cohesive product browsing experience.

The
Challenge

As a large organization, Converse requires close coordination across multiple cross-functional teams to align on priorities, timelines, and available resources. Before entering the design phase, we conducted several collaborative exercises—including ideation and prioritization workshops—with input from engineering, product managers, and other key stakeholders. This helped us identify which initiatives would deliver the most value and could realistically be executed within the given timeline and constraints.

The
Process

With priorities in place, I moved into a series of iterative design cycles, regularly presenting work to the client for feedback and alignment. Many features were interconnected, requiring careful consideration of how changes would impact other parts of the experience. I facilitated cross-functional discussions with stakeholders across teams, navigating dependencies and championing design solutions that balanced user needs with technical feasibility and business goals.

The
Results

As a designer working with Converse, I had the opportunity to help shape experiences that balance business goals with user needs. Every project was grounded in consumer insights and guided by UX best practices, with ideas tested through Converse’s thoughtful test-and-learn approach. I worked closely with their digital customer experience team and collaborated with stakeholders across product, merchandising, content, and design—both locally and globally. It was a highly collaborative environment, and my focus was on crafting design solutions that felt authentic to the brand while pushing the experience forward.
