Branding, UX/UI

New Look & Feel for a Vibrant Industry

Games for change is a nonprofit that empowers game creators and social innovators to drive real-world impact through games and immersive media. They do great work in the community and run a festival each year that focuses on social impact gaming and immersive media. I revamped their web UX/UI with accessibility and compliance as a top priority along with developing an updated visual language for their branding.

The
Challenge

The previous website lacked modern responsiveness and offered a poor user experience—particularly on mobile devices—falling short of today's usability and accessibility standards.

The
Process

We began with a focused discovery phase to clarify the client's vision using targeted keywords. These insights were translated into mood boards, helping visualize creative directions and enabling collaborative refinement. This process revealed key nuances in the client's goals and ensured alignment from the start. To keep the project on track and meet tight deadlines, we delivered wireframes, animation references, and maintained clear, consistent communication throughout.

The
Results

After several rounds of iteration and testing, we landed on a visual direction that embraced movement, vibrant colors, and gradients—elements well-suited for animation when needed. We also restructured the information architecture, streamlining the site by reducing unnecessary pages and focusing the content on what mattered most to the user experience.
