Wholistic Matters

Branding, UX/UI, Marketing, Animation

Let's make a content platform!

WholisticMatters is a content platform that provides clinically driven nutrition insights you can trust to be balanced, credible, and reliable. Advancing wholistic health care: integrative, functional, and natural are their goals. This multi-year effort covers a huge spectrum of work from branding, an MVP offering, second phase platform redesign, marketing efforts, & podcast support.

The
Challenge

Let’s not talk about the every single part of the project. That could take forever. Some aspects that I would like tot talk about though happened in between MVP launch & the redesign effort. MVP was about speed. Get our ideas out, designed, developed and out to the test group and stake holders. My favorite part centered on getting feedback from users and stake holders after a few months of use. For example: The use of masonry grid style (like Pinterest) for the type of content cause of lot of distraction and legibility suffered.

The
Process

Throughout the second phase, problems were identified and addressed through a system approach. Often taking a step back allowed us to not only address a small issue like the click area for a button but to also address our overall design for what is clickable in article grids and content cards. (Ex. Should a whole article card be clickable?Just the title? Title & Image?)

The
Results

The approach allowed for the overall design system to be revamped for better typography and legibility. Something I was hoping to get in a later phase after the MVP launch. Brand color palette also need to expand to better accommodate things like error states. The previously green pallets expanded to encompass warm reds and yellows.
